Inspiration When Your In A Style Rut
Photography: Shaquille Pesso

This is the time of year that I get into a fashion rut as winter is my least favourite season. However this is the time I find that specific brands will really standout to me because I am simple not in love with everything. This is when I like to browse stores and websites for inspiration and plot what I will be investing in to add some life back into my closet. Here is my run down of the brands I find inspiring and what I am lusting after from their current and new in collections.
All Saints
I have been obsessing over their leather jackets and bags but lately it is the shearling jackets and all the beautiful knitwear that has my attention. I love the quality and design of all the pieces and think they are worth the price tag.
Hawley Oversized Shearling Jacket (Grey)
Mens Harnden Crew Sweater (Taupe Marl)
Wilfred
Aritzia as a whole is doing some really wonderful things right now, but there are specific house brands that speak to me and Wilfred never disappoints. This is my go to for slightly more trend influenced pieces but of quality.
Babaton
This is my absolute favourite house brand from Aritzia and I always want everything. Especially the more tailored pieces, these are what I am currently eyeing up.
Ted Baker
My longing for warmer spring weather and planning for a few trips has me running to my favourites, for beautiful tailoring (shorts especially) and stunning prints. I am currently obsessed with the glitter sneakers ( I have the silver and the black) and I am dying to get my hands on more for the spring and summer seasons.

Lululemon
As I am getting back into yoga this year and also I am taking a nutrition class I actually need to step up my workout gear and Lulu is calling to me. There recent drops are right up my alley, functional and fashionable all at the same time.

Reformation
This is a newer brand to me, but I am so excited to get my hands on a few of their pieces. I absolutely love their stance and module on sustainable fashion and the design and style of their offering is in no way compromised because of it. I am dying to pick up the styles below and also do a full brand review.
Reiss
This is my number one stop for when I was quality pieces that just makes me feel like a real girl boss. Their tailoring is unquestionable and worth your coins, if suiting and tailoring is your thing, you need to check them out.
Freya Collarless Suede Biker Jacket
Keaton Suede A-Line Mini Skirt
Joanne Check Slim-Leg Trousers
Harley Coated Skinny Biker Jeans
Maje
This is my first stop for slightly quirkier pieces that are still high quality fabrics and great design. They are new to the Canadian market and are very different from the store we are used to having here and I am loving it.
Cielo Shirt With Embroidered Bees
Anthropologie
This is self-explanatory, if you don’t know, now you do. This is where I like to go for pieces that you won’t see on everyone. Outside of the fashion, the homeware selection is amazing and makes you want to buy a house just to decorate it with everything Anthropologie.
Steve Madden
This is my go to for shoes every year all year, they are reliable, always on trend and good quality for the price you pay. Their current collection and pre-orders are spot on for the trends this year.
